Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, Gujarat
Kirti Mandir is an attractive edifice in Porbandar, State of Gujarat, India, built to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi - the Father of India – and his spouse Kasturba Gandhi. It was inaugurated on 27th May 1950 by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Kirti Mandir holds life-size oil paintings of Gandhiji and his wife Kasturba. And the ancestral home of Mahatma Gandhi is located next to this building.
Various artworks related to Buddhism and Jainism has been preserved along with the traditional art of the Hindu temples. Besides all these, some sample art of the churches and of the mosques have also been made.
