Hatheesing Jain Temple, Ahmedabad
Situated in Ahmedabad, State of Gujarat in India, the Hatheesingh Jain Temple is an elegant shrine dedicated to the 15th Jain Thirthanakara (Jain Proponent), Dharmnath.
Built in 1850 CE by Seth Hatheesing, a rich Jain merchant, this shrine has elaborate stone carvings and intricate architectural structure.
The temple was erected completely in white marble and the courtyard around the temple is surrounded by a row of 52 cloisters, each having an image of a Thirthankara. A large number of devotees and travellers from around the world often visit this holy place for prayers.
