Hatheesing temple, a Jain Shrine in Ahmedabad
The video is of Hatheesing temple built by a Jain merchant Sheth Hatheesing in 1848. The temple built as a dedication to Dharmanath (the 15th Thirtankara) was designed by Premchand Salat.
The temple is hailed as a fine specimen of Jain architecture. The tall Kirthisthamba here is noted for its architectural elegance. There are 52 shrines in the neatly paved courtyard, each dedicated to a Thirtankara.
