Rock Edicts of Ashoka in Junagadh

This video has for you is a rock edict of Emperor Ashoka, one of the greatest emperors who have ruled India. It is located about 2 km east of Junagadh and about 3 km from the foot of Girnar Hill, Gujarat state of India.

Dating from the 3rd century BCE, the Ashoka edicts impart basic moral instructions on justice, harmony, tolerance, and peace.

A collection of 33 inscriptions, the Ashoka edicts have not been modified are still preserved the way they were originally made.
