Chavittukali; a folk dance of Kerala
Chavittukali is a folk dance that is staged during festivals like Onam, Vishu and local temple festivals. This art form is popular in central Kerala and Malappuram, which is a northern district. Chavittukali can well be called as a common man’s art form, since it is played by farmers and labourers. And because of this, there are no special costumes or make-up used for performing this dance.
