Panaji, the capital of Goa, the smallest state in India, is a charming city with many attractions which allure tourists from around the world. The name Panaji literally means ‘the land that never floods’.
Panaji is the third largest city in the state and has some beautiful Portuguese architectural marvels which still maintain the Portuguese ambience.
In 1843, Panaji became the capital of Goa and later it was renamed as Nova Goa (New Goa). Featured here are some street shots of Panaji.
