Old Goa Jetty
Featured in this video is the Old Goa Jetty located on the banks of the Mandovi River in Goa, the smallest state in India. Goa being a popular tourist spot is visited by tourists and travellers throughout the year.
Those travellers who opt for the riverine route mostly prefer big jhankars in which they can ferry even their vehicles.
Jhankars are the descendants and enlarged versions of the wartime LCVP’s (Landing Craft Vehicle / Personnel) which are now used for ferrying people and vehicles across the numerous waterways of Goa.
