Mahalakshmi Temple, Panaji, Goa

Shown in this video is Mahalakshmi temple located in the heart of Panaji city, the capital of Goa, the smallest state in India. It is a sacred shrine, which is dedicated to Mahalakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth.

The Mahalakshmi temple is believed to be the first shrine built in Goa after the Portuguese invasion. The original structure of this temple was renovated many times.

The Navarathri festival (nine-nights festival) is the major festival celebrated in this temple with special rituals.
