Fort Aguada, Goa
Goa, the smallest state in India has many famous picnic spots, which are together considered as a paradise for holidaymakers from around the world. The place is well known for its picturesque beaches, verdant landscape along with a rich cultural heritage.
Featured in this video is Fort Aguada, ('Aguada' in Portuguese means water) built in 1612 by the Portuguese. Located some kilometers from Panaji, the capital of Goa, the fort is one of the prime attractions in the state.
At present the fort houses the central jail. Another important attraction near the fort is a lighthouse built in the 19th century.
