Boating off Dona Paula beach, Goa
Shown in the video are the boats and boating at Dona Paula beach. It is one of the beautiful beaches situated near the capital Panaji in Goa, the smallest state in India. This place is called the Lovers’ Paradise because of a legend attached to this beach. According to the legend, this beach was named after Dona Paula de Menezes, the daughter of a Portuguese Viceroy. She jumped off a cliff after facing objections form her family about her love affair with a poor fisherman. Locals say that on a moonlit night you can still see Dona Paula wading ashore from the sea wearing only a pearl necklace.
