Yamuna Railway Bridge, New Delhi
The Yamuna railway bridge, a link of great historical significance may soon become a bygone elegance, but it will remain as a proud symbol in the capital city of India, New Delhi. Built in 1866 by the East India Railway, this bridge is the connecting link of two prime cities — Kolkata and New Delhi. A plan to build a new bridge is on the anvil and if it becomes operational the old bridge will be used to carry road traffic from East Delhi to Central Delhi and vice versa.
