Vir Bhumi, New Delhi

Vir Bhumi located near Rajghat is the Samadhi or the memorial ground of independent India’s seventh and youngest Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. It is situated on the banks of the sacred river Yamuna on the way to Delhi gate by the Ring Road in New Delhi.

This young leader was assassinated by an LTTE suicide bomber at Sriperumbudur in Chennai on 21 May 1991.He was the son of Indira Gandhi and the grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru, the former Prime Ministers of India.
