Shanti Vana, Cremation ground of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru
Shanti Vana literally meaning the ‘forest of peace’ is situated close to Rajghat in New Delhi, India. It is the cremation ground of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. This freedom fighter passed away on 27th May 1964.
The Samadhi (memorial ground) is surrounded by beautiful lawns and flowering trees. Shanti vana is considered to be a historic monument.
