Rabindra Bhawan in New Delhi

Rabindra Bhawan is one of the landmark buildings situated in New Delhi – the capital of India. The offices of the Sahitya Akademi, Lalit Kala Akademi and Sangeet Natak Akademi of India are located in this building.

The Sahitya Akademi or the national academy of letters is a central government institution to foster and coordinate literary activities in all the Indian languages and to promote through them the cultural unity of India.

The Sangeet Natak Akademi of India is the national academy for music, dance and drama. It is the first national academy of the arts set-up by the Republic of India.

Lalit Kala Akademi is a national academy for the promotion of Indian fine arts.
