Parliament House of India
Parliament House or Sansad Bhavan is an imposing structure in circular shape and centrally surmounted by a large dome. Located near Secretariat building to the right of Vijay Chowk on Rajpath, is the centre which decides the fate of Indian democracy.
The Parliament House was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and Edward Lutyens. It consists of an open verandah with 144 columns.
It also consists of three semi circular chambers for the legislatures – Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha and a Central library. Visitors cannot enter the Parliament House without prior permission.
