Concept of Nayika is an integral part of almost all classical dance forms of India. Ashta Nayika or eight types of heroines are there.

Navi nayika is a Kathak dance production based on the emotional journey of a women in the present day world. It is an ensemble of nine intense contracting phases of a women in her quest of her love from union to separation, seduction to surrender. With the guidance of Guru Pt. Birju Maharaj, Pali Chandra presents Navi Nayika - A Woman Beyond.
