About the Artiste
Madhavapeddi Murthy, a versatile artiste, renowned as a Kuchipudi dancer, is the son of the noted playback singer Madhavapeddi Satyam. Murthy took up his career as a dancer after training for 20 years under his guru Dr. Vempatti Chinna Satyam. Besides taking part in productions of his guru’s Academy, he has given performances in and out the country at several prestigious festivals and at conferences, sabhas and spiritual events. The Tamil Nadu Government has recoginsed him with the Kalaimamani award.
