In this composition the dancer interprets the conflicting emotions and anger of Khandita Nayika, which eventually melts away when her lover appears.. Khandita Nayika means one who enraged with her lover due to betrayal. Khandita Nayika is one of the principal eight nayikas enumerated by Sage Bharata in Natayasastra for Indian classical dance.
