Waris - 1954

Directed by Nitin Bose, the 1954 released Waris is a suspense drama. The film stars playback singer Talat Mahmood as hero and the singing star Suraiya as heroine.

Music by Anil Biswas, the film was produced by Sohrab Modi. The film was a musical hit and the song “Rahi Matvale, Tu Chhed Ek Baar, Man Ka Sitar” picturised on train with the whistling and moving sound of the train was well appreciated by the audience and probably this was the first song picturised on a train in Indian Cinema.
