Taj Mahal - 1963
Taj Mahal en eternal monument of love has been subject for umpteen work of art, both in literature and in celluloid. In 1963 director M. Sadiq came with his story of Taj. The film tells the tale of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, his beloved Mumtaz Mahal and their timeless love.
Pradeep Kumar and Bina Rai did the roles of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. Veena and Rahman played supporting roles. The film is best remembered for its soothing songs all composed by Roshan. Lyrics were penned by Sahir Ludhianvi. The evergreen duet Jo Wada Kiya Wo sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi is from this film.
