Shaheed -1948

Set during the time of Quit India Movement the 1948 Hindi film Shaheed has a patriotic vigour in it. The story was built up with anti-British ideologies. Directed by Ramesh Saigal the film starred Dilip Kumar, Kamini Kaushal, Chandra Mohan and Leela Chitnis.

The renowned patriotic song "Watan ki Raah Men Watan Ke Naujawan Shaheed Ho" and "Badnaam Na Ho Jaaye Mohabbat Ka Fasana" were from this film. Produced by Filmistan Shaheed was also known for the fact that it was the last screen appearance of actor Chandra Mohan.
