Another great film from a great director. Bimal Rai. Pehla Aadmi released in the year 1950 takes us back to the pre-independent era when the struggle for freedom made the atmosphere turbulent and strained. Kumar the young lover joins INA because of the patriotic urge coming from his heart. His lover Lata, reconciles with this fact, neglecting her dreams about a happy married life.

Produced by New Theaters the film used original footages of Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The film featured Smriti Biswas, Ashita Bose, Balraj Vij, Viay Kumar and Pahari Sanyal in major roles. Music was composed by R.C. Boral.
