Parichay - 1972

Directed by Gulzar, the 1972 film Parichay is a sweet and touching story of five children and their estranged grandfather. The film was based on a Bengali novel Rangeen Uttarain written by Raj Kumar Maitra. The film stars Jeetendra, Jaya Bhaduri and Pran in major roles.

Music was composed by R. D. Burman. Gulzar himself has written the lyrics for all songs. Every spong of the film are precious stones of Bollywood like "Musafir Hoon Yaaro" by Kishore Kumar and "Beeti Na Bitai Raina" by Lata Mangeshkar, and Bhupinder.
