Mera Naam Joker - 1970

Released in the year 1970, Mera Naam Joker is undoubtedly one of the best scenes made by Raj Kapoor. Despite being a multi-star movie it failed pathetically at box office. It was also the debut film of Rishi Kapoor who played the teenage of the lead role played by his father Raj Kapoor. Other cast includes Simi Garewal, Manoj Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Dara Singh, Kseniya, Ryabinkina, Padmini and Rajendra Kumar.

The screenplay for the film, made in the backdrop of circus, was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. It was unusually lengthy of about 255 minutes and with two intervals. Music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan. The evergreen sad melody "Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan" is from this film. "Jane Kahan Gaye Woh Din" and "Kehta Hai Joker Sara Zamana are also from this film.
