Jogan - 1950

A female oriented film directed by Kidar Sharma, the 1950 film Jogan narrates the story of a love affair between Vijay played by (Dilip Kumar) and a young woman, who leaves the worldly pleasures to attain an inner equanimity, played by Nargis. Nargis shows her unmatched talent in conveying complex emotions with few words and spells of silence.

Jogan is the best musical hit of composer Bulo C. Rani. Most of the songs are sung by Geetha Dutt including the popular Ghungat ke pat khol. Rajendra Kumar in his film debut plays a small role.
