Do Aankhen Barah Haath
Directed and produced by V. Shantaram, Do Aankhen Barah Haath is a 1957 Hindi film based on the morals of Gandhian philosophy. The film, which won a Silver Bear at the 8th Berlin International Film Festival, was also the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe Award.
Shantaram himself played the lead role with Sandhya as the heroine. Music was composed by Vasant Desai and the film is also remembered for its theme song, Aye maalik tere bande hum, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and written by Bharat Vyas.
