Anand - 1970

Produced and directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee the 1970 film Anand is an all-time Bollywood super hit film. The film stars Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles and was noted for its poetic dialogues written by Gulzar. Khanna played the title role of Anand who is a dying cancer patient who influence the outlook of his young and sober doctor.

The other cast includes Sumita Sanyal, Ramesh Deo, Seema Deo, Lalita Pawar, Durga Khote, Johnny Walker, Asit Sen and Dara Singh. Together they made the film an unforgettable experience. Music was composed by Salil Chowdry. ‘Maine Tere Liye Hi Saat Rang Ke Sapne” and “Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli” are some of the evergreen songs from this film.
