Aan - 1952

Aan released in the year 1952 was the first Indian film to use Technicolor. The film directed by Mehboob Khan scripted by R.S. Choudhury. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Nimmi, Prem Nath and Nadira in the lead roles.

Dilip Kumar appears as Jai Tilak an athletic peasant who with his girl friend tames a usurping prince and his sister. This Indian costume melodrama reached the western theaters in the 50s.

Music composed by Naushad includes some excellent songs like Dil mein chhupaake pyaar ka, Khelo rang hamaare sang, and Tujhe kho diya humne paane ke baad.
