Mahabodhi Temple Complex, Bodh Gaya
The Mahabodhi Temple Complex at Bodh Gaya, in the State of Bihar, India, is one of the four holy sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha. Listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments, the first temple here was constructed by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE while the present temple dates back to the 5th or 6th century.
