Snana or Ayurvedic herbal bath
Snana or herbal bath is not an Ayurvedic treatment and is viewed in Ayurveda as a daily activity, after an oil massage called Abhyanga. Oil should be applied all over the body and sensitive parts like face, ears and soles of feet should be massaged gently. After a while, the oil is thoroughly bathed off (Snana) using a medicated powder for the body and a medicated shampoo for the head Cleansing agents like green gram powder can be used. The water can be boiled with medicinal herbs.
