Herbal soap for skin diseases

The video is of veteran herbal medicine practitioner Annamma Devasia describing the making of a herbal soap which could be used as a remedy for various skin diseases. The base ingredient is a concoction made from the leaves of Thulasi (Ocimum tenuiflorum), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Poovamkurunnila (Vernonia cinerea), Thumba (Leuca Indica), hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosasinensis), Kurumthotti (Sida rhombifolia). Besides several other herbs, caustic soda, gram flour and sandalwood oil or jasmine oil are also used.
