Analivegam -a herb used for snake bite

Sanskrit name : Vishagni
Analivegam is a medicinal plant commonly used for snake bites by the traditional and tribal physicians of India. The roots of Analivegam is used for the treatment of skin diseases, erysipelas, leprosy, cobra bite and other venomous bites. The fruits of the plant are useful for treating syphilis, insanity and epilepsy. The bark of this plant is also useful as it is used for curing chronic diarrhoea, dysentery and catarrhal fever.
The plant is believed to be used to repel snakes from the surroundings.
