Women weaving silk in Sualkuchi, Assam

Sualkuchi village is the center of silk production in Assam; which is one of the north-eastern states in India. This video features women in Sualkuchi village busy with their routine at their looms.

Situated in Kamrup district of Assam, this village is also known as Soalkuchi. The people of this village earn their livelihood by weaving and most of them are experts in their job.
