Brahmaputra River, Assam
Assam, one of the north eastern states in India is significant for several factors. The rivers flowing through this state play an important role in the economy of Assam. Featured in this video is the Brahmaputra River, one of the four major rivers flowing through Assam state. The Brahmaputra originates in Tibet (Now under China).
The mountain regions are the originating points of the other rivers flowing through this place. The water from these rivers is the main source of irrigation for farming in the state.
