Yaks in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
This video features Yaks in the town of Tawang, which is also a district in Arunachal Pradesh; one of the north-eastern states of India. Yak is a long-haired bovine found in most parts of the Himalayas and in the Tibetan plateau. They are usually brown or black in colour.
The male yaks are around 6.6 to 7.2 ft tall and weigh close to a ton, while the females weigh much less than the males. Domesticated yaks are comparatively smaller than wild yaks and are kept for milk, meat, fat and fur.
