Birth House of Dalai Lama in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
Featured in this video is the birth house of 6th Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso ((1682 – 1706) in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh state in India. Born at Urgelling monastery, Tsangyang Gyatso was a Monpa (a major tribe of Arunachal Pradesh) and had composed many poems and songs.
Tsangyang Gyatso opted a different way which was removed from the cultural tradition of Buddhist monks. As a result he is known as the rebel Dalai Lama. This is a place of historical significance and is now known as World Peace Park.
