Philatelic Bureau at Vijayawada Post Office

Philately is the study and collection of revenue and postage stamps. It has always been an interesting hobby. For encouraging this, the Indian Postal department had started Philatelic Bureaus. The India Post has Philatelic Bureaus function at fifty - nine Head Post Offices at Circle Head Offices or in major district towns. 

The main aim of  the bureaus is to carry out sale of philatelic items to individuals, dependent counters and authorised Post offices. Philatelic Deposit Accounts can be opened at these Bureaus.
