Simha Vihara, Nagarjunakonda
Featured in this video is the Simha Vihara, a reconstructed monastery in Nagarjunakonda, Guntur district of the State of Andhra Pradesh in India. This monastery comprises typical components of an early Buddhist monastery.
One can see a large stupa in front of the complex. The image of Buddha can also be seen here. According to Buddhist belief, the image and the stupa is equivalent as both represent the Great Teacher.
This monastery differs from other monasteries in terms of the number and working of cells and rooms.
