Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary - a haven for wetland birds
An ideal hub for bird enthusiasts, Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is one of the largest Pelican habitats in Southeast Asia. Located in the Nelapattu village in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh State, south India, this sanctuary is a perfect breeding ground for various endangered bird varieties.
Night Heron, Painted Stork, Spoon-Bill and several other species are found in this sanctuary. Species of water birds that quite rare can also be found here.
