Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad
Built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in CE 1562, the Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the finest attractions in the bustling city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh state of India. This man-made lake was constructed on the tributary of Musi River to meet the irrigation needs of the city.
A large monolith statue of Gautama Buddha in the centre of the lake catches the attention of tourists especially during the nights as the lake is lit up with multi-coloured lights.
