Buddhist Stupa at Amaravathi
Portrayed in this video is the Buddhist Stupa at Amaravathi in the State of Andhra Pradesh in India. Amaravathi Stupa, also known as Mahachaitya Stupa is the largest stupa, which is around 95 feet in height.
The stupa is believed to have been erected during the 2nd century BCE. Amaravathi was the capital of Satavahanas, the great Andhra kings and is situated on the banks of the River Krishna and is home to around 2000-year-old Buddhist relics.
Amaravathi is situated 30 km west of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
