Azhar gets rousing welcome in Hyderabad

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin got a rousing welcome in home city Hyderabad as he landed there after formally joining the Congress party. Expressing his concern over troubles faced by the people Azharuddin said that he wants to work for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. Azharuddin, banned for life from cricket in 2000 following the match-fixing scandal was made a member of the ruling Congress party.
