Veer Savarkar's Cell at Kala Pani
Featured in this video is the cell where Veer Savarkar, a fearless freedom fighter, social reformer, writer, dramatist, poet, and historian was imprisoned in Cellular Jail or Kala Pani. Kala Pani, literally meaning black water (the sea) was a colonial prison used by the British especially to exile political prisoners to the remote archipelago.
Located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the jail also called Cellular Jail still emanates the fear element in the air and the visitors can sense the pain the inmates went through back during the time this jail was functional.
