Subordinate’s Club in Ross Island
Featured in this video are the ruins of the Subordinate’s Club at the Ross Island in Andaman and Nicobar, which is a Union Territory of India. Ross Island is a picturesque locale, more commonly known as a monumental location as it houses remnants of old buildings.
The Ross Island also had various clubs. The Subordinate’s Club here was meant for the junior commissioned officers and NCOs of the British troops.
The club had a teak wood dancing floor and windows with stained glass imported from Italy. Other clubs include the Settlement Club and Temple Club, which were all destroyed by an earthquake in 1941.
