Banyan Tree in Ross Island

May be this old tree has witnessed the rise and fall of an island which had everything including bazaar, bakery, stores, water treatment plant, church, tennis court, printing press, secretariat, hospital, cemetery and much more. The earthquake that devastated this island in 1941 turned it in to a haunted area. But this is a hot tourist spot today as people are keen to know more and more about the history of Ross Island.
