The Ross Island in Andaman and Nicobar, a Union Territory of India is a monumental location where the remnants of an affluent past are visible.
The Ross Island once served as the Administrative Headquarters of Andaman and Nicobar until a massive earthquake in 1941. The headquarters was then shifted to Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The island now houses the ruins of various old buildings that include government houses, churches, hospitals and various other structures. Since this island is a treasure of ruins, it is considered to be the hottest tourist spot in the territory.
