Forest Fruit Crops of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Andaman and Nicobar Islands have a large number of non traditional, forest fruit crops. Most of these fruits are of medicinal value. They possess both restorative and curative properties and could be aromatic, cooling, digestive, stomachic, stimulant and useful in seasoning, maturation, and fermentation of culinary, processed food and drinks. The fruits provide table income for the tribals living in the forest.
