Fisherman mending Fishing Net, Andaman

Fisheries is one of the major natural resources in the Andaman islands. 45 fishing villages in the islands are engaged in fishing. There are about 57 fish landing centers in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Drift gillnet is the main fishing gear used here.
