Gandhi reiterates nonviolence

But the party would not try to throw the foreigners out by any violent means. Violence or using force is against his faith. Nonviolence is the Indian motto. 

A nation of 350 million people did not need to use a killer’s sword. Nor would they need poison, or bomb or a gun. What they needed was a firm decision, and they had already taken that decision. But India and England would not sever their relationship. The friendship would continue, Gandhi said.

The Round Table Conference did not yield any result. A compromise formula could not be arrived at.
