Sree Parthasarathy Temple of Aranmula
One of the oldest temples in Kerala, South India, the Sree Parthasarathy Temple of Aranmula is situated on the banks of the holy River Pamba, in the town of Aranmula, in Pathanamthitta District.
This temple is connected to the Pamba River by 57 steps that descend from its northern tower. The murals of the temple date back to the 18th century.
Th Parthasarathy Temple is better known through the Aranmula boat race that takes place during the Onam season in August-September. The main deity of the temple is Lord Krishna.
